Any current University of Miami student is welcome, regardless of major, year, or technical background. Curiosity is the only real prerequisite.
Not at all. Our sessions are designed for builders, designers, writers, researchers, founders, and people who are simply curious. We will make room for beginner-friendly ways to contribute.
No. Joining the collective and participating in regular community sessions is free for University of Miami students. If a special event ever has a cost, we will make that clear in advance.
The first schedule will be shaped with the founding members. Dates, locations, and the ongoing cadence will be announced in GroupMe so students always have the latest details.
Expect a short introduction, a strong question or challenge, collaborative experimentation, and time to share what surprised us. The goal is to leave having made or understood something new.
No. ChatGPT will be one useful tool, but the collective is about the broader field of artificial intelligence—how it works, what we can create with it, and how it affects different disciplines.
No. This is a student-led campus community formed through OpenAI’s Student Collective program. It is not a course, academic department, or source of academic credit.
